Christmas Eve At Tidwell Park On Lake Lanier

Merry Christmas Everyone! It's Christmas Eve here at Lake Lanier! It is cold, windy, overcast and perfect Santa Claus weather. My wife and I decided to run some last minute errands by going out to get a few groceries at Kroger and a lunch stop at Sonic. We took along our newly adopted Catahoula Leopard puppy so we could take her for a walk at Tidwell Park. The park is located at the end of Pilgrim Mill Road in Forsyth County on Lake Lanier. It has enormous views across the water to Lake Lanier Islands . We stopped by in the late afternoon as the weather began to change and get cloudy, windy and cold. I snapped these photos as we wondered around. A few boaters began coming in off the lake as the weather changed and Christmas Eve approached. The park has been very windy lately, and it makes for some unusually cold temps. I hope these photos will give you all a view of the picturesque setting on Lake Lanier this Christmas 2005!
