Our August 2009 Lake Lanier Real Estate Market Report is complete and ready for your review. During August, the market continued a gradual increase in the number of lakefront homes with docks sold on Lake Lanier according to the statistics that we review in First Multiple Listing Service. Both July and August have shown some gradual improvement in the number of homes sold. The average sale price of the homes sold in August 2009, however, was still down on a year over year basis when compared to August of 2008. This very well could be the beginning of a trend of increasing sales as the water conditions have improved and pricing is still continuing to be very attractive.
