During February, the market continued its slow pace in the number of lakefront homes with docks sold on Lake Lanier according to the statistics that we review in First Multiple Listing Service. The average sale price of the homes sold in February 2009 was down on a year over year basis when compared to February of 2008. This year is beginning slowly for Lake Lanier real estate sales. However, we are continuing to get much needed rain and the lake is still on the rise. I am optimistic that a Lake Lanier with a higher water mark can only improve Lake Lanier real estate activity!
