Wow! What a weekend in real estate at Lake Lanier! We were busy on the lake showing houses all weekend long. It is hard to remember the last time we have been so busy this late in the year. However, November is continuing to roll just like the end of summer. The weather cooled off and we got some really cold temperatures on Saturday and Sunday. Both days were absolutely gorgeous with low temperatures at night reaching into the thirties and high temperatures during the day only getting into the forties and fifties. And it was a pleasure to get out on the lake and show properties. Most of our showings were in the $300,000 to $500,000 price range. All counted in, we probably showed 15 to 20 homes this weekend and we were all over the lake but mainly in the northern section, north of Browns Bridge Road. There are plenty of good deals with the end of the season and the holidays approaching. Many sellers who did not get a contract during the summer months have reduced their listing price in order to get their homes sold before the end of the year. Additionally, however, there still seems to be a fair amount of new inventory coming on market. We continue to see lots of activity from people searching for Lake Lanier lots and land as well as people searching for Lake Lanier waterfront homes. Maybe this is because of the gorgeous weather we've been having and everyone feels that they have to get out and enjoy it. As we noted in our last post, our newest listing at 3635 Schofield Road is a hit! We showed it twice this weekend, and at this price it offers great water great views and a very nice floor plan.
