Plenty Of Lake Lanier Fall Beauty During The Drought
Regardless of the drought here at Lake Lanier, there is still plenty of beauty in the lake shore and surrounding landscape. The weather this past weekend was fabulous and the Autumn colors were everywhere. I've posted a few pictures to prove the point. The first photo was taken Saturday morning as the sun began to rise over the cove behind my home. The second photo was taken late Sunday evening along the shores of Latham Bay. The reds and golds are gorgeous and the weather is perfect for long walks and comfortable photography! Happy Thanksgiving!

Low Water Beauty At Lake Lanier
Even though the water level is low here at the Lake, there is still plenty of seasonal Fall beauty around us all. And the fun and pleasure can be enjoyed in many different ways. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder!

A Few More Lake Lanier Photos
Driving around the south end of Lake Lanier yesterday, I thought that I would activate the camera for a few lake photos to document the look of the area during this time of drought. The first photo is of Buford Dam. I have taken photos from this location before, however this photo shows the recent exposure of a large piece of land rising from the waters to the right of the Dam in this photo. The second photo is a shot from Tidwell Park at the end of Pilgrim Mill Road. Lots of newly exposed land and beach areas. The safety markers are well exposed above the dirt and give a great indication of where the water level would normally be located.
