Saturday Home Showing & A Few Photos At Lake Lanier!

It was a beautiful day to show properties on Lake Lanier on Saturday. It was still a little cool out since we started in the morning. But, the temperatures quickly increase into the 60's and everything was absolutely beautiful. We are in full bloom here with all of the trees and florals popping, and yes the pollen is too!

We were able to see three Lake Lanier homes on Saturday. Here is a list of the homes that we visited...

I was able to collect a few photos along the way. These shots are of the waterfront at Lake Lanier from different points in Dawsonville and Gainesville. There was a fishing tournament going on this weekend so there were a number of boats in the coves, slowly trolling around hunting for bass. That's a common activity this time of year. Lake Lanier Homes For Sale Inventory Versus Lake Lanier Home Sales! What Is Going On?

What is going on with available inventory of Lake Lanier homes for sale? Over the weekend, I was doing a little number crunching and noticed that the number of home sales on Lake Lanier was actually down a little bit compared to last year. I was only looking at January and February 2017 versus January and February 2016. As it turns out, prices were up, but the number of home sales was down. I think that anyone looking for a Lake Lanier home right now would vouch for the fact that the inventory seems to be really tight! And judging by the look of this chart one might make the argument that when inventory is down, well, so are our sales. Take a look at the chart below and let me know what you see! Right now, I think we need two things. We need more rain (more water in the lake) and we need more homes for sale.  If we can just get those things, excitement will return and I bet more sales will too!
