When the real estate markets experienced the turmoil of the financial crisis and its impact, there were a huge amount of homes for sale on the lake.  Not exactly foreclosure homes everywhere, although there were some.  Instead, it was just an over abundance of homes for sale with very few buyers.  As a result, the market kind of stopped.  During the traditionally popular lake home sales months of June and July, we went from seeing 40-50 sales per month on Lanier to seeing 6-10 sales.  The market virtually stopped.

Lake Lanier Real Estate Today!

We're starting off the week with a scan of the FMLS for new properties for sale on Lake Lanier.  Our Custom searches have uncovered this recent listing for sale at 5683 Kegs Circle in Oakwood with nice water and lake frontage.  What a price! $189,900!  This one's sure to please a lot of the eager lake buyers looking for an inexpensive, enjoyable getaway!

We're working on putting together a lake lot purchase and noticed many changes in the GAR land contract.  FYI, if you haven't purchased a lot or land tract in the past six months, there are some big additions to our contracts!

We continue to get many requests for information on homes for rent.  We really are in need of lakefront and off lake homes for Property Management Inventory and rental availability.  We welcome the opportunity to discuss the option of renting your home versus selling.  The rental market is hot, hot, HOT!
