Vann's Tavern Park At Lake Lanier

Hello everyone! It's been a slow month for my blogging efforts, so I decided to get back into the swing last week by visiting Vann's Tavern Park on Lake Lanier in Forsyth County. The park is located at the end of Vann's Tavern Road just south of Brown's Bridge Road (Hwy. 369). Traveling east on Hwy. 369, one encounters the tiny community of Oscarville where there is a small convenience store opposite Waldrip Road. Veer right at the store and continue on to Vann's Tavern and the park is at the end of the road. This is a beautiful park with wide open views in many directions. The cold weather put the halt on visitors on December 14 when I visited and took these photos. Nevertheless, the beauty of the land and the water at this location are evident in the photos.
