A Few Photos And Updates From Our Latest Lake Lanier Real Estate Travels!

Wow! We've been so busy these last couple of weeks with real estate activities on Lake Lanier that we've had very little time for blogging. But as we travel all over the different areas of the lake, we like to take photos of what we see, so our followers can view the wonderful areas too. The photos below add a little insight into some of the fun things we've seen and done these past couple of weeks.

The old PopStop at 5974 Jim Crow Road in Flowery Branch is near Old Federal Park on Lake Lanier. Known for their legendary beef jerky. In business before Lake Lanier's existence!

Another Simple Pleasure Of Lake Lanier Home Ownership! Lake Lanier Bass Fishing!

One of the simple pleasures of living on Lake Lanier has to be the convenience of walking out to your own private dock, jumping in the boat and heading out for some good old fashion fishing. On Tuesday April 2, 2013 my friend, Tom Becker, and I decided to do just that. Now I am more of a cove-casting, Spotted Bass fisherman, but Tom showed me how it's done on the south end of the lake with some great gear, a sweet boat and a perfect setup for Striper fishing! We hit the water at about 6 P.M. with Posey, his beloved Yellow Lab, leading the way. We fished for about 2 and a half hours in a strong wind and unusually cold temp for an early Spring day. Wearing layers was really wise as the wind and temperature dropped methodically as the sun set.

What a tremendous time we had! Nothing provides the escape and scenery of a sunset on Lake Lanier and some great fishing! Enjoy the photos of what we saw on the water!

Comments On Forsyth County And Lake Lanier

Public Broadcasting Of Atlanta recently posted a very nice article about Forsyth County Georgia and its continued strong growth. It attributes this growth to a number of characteristics including proximity to Lake Lanier, relatively low millage rates, and a high quality of life. As a Forsyth County resident, I agree with all of the aspects of this article, especially the part about Lake Lanier!
