Once again, the chart shows the trends in the market. This one goes back over 10 years and looks at active waterfront home listing counts. You can easily see how the economic recession and the historic Lake Lanier drought impacted the number of homes for sale in 2007, 2008, and 2009. As the economy improved and Lake Lanier water levels increased, you can see the upward trajectory on the chart of the huge influx of homes for sale between 2009 and 2010. Furthermore, from 2010 to present, it is easy to see the cyclicality of our market and how the number of homes for sale tends to increase in the spring and summer, and then trailed off into the winter months. Overall, the big thing that I see here, is that as we move into 2017, the inventory of Lake Lanier waterfront homes for sale is lower than it has been in approximately 7 years. Hmm...
