The Rowing Venue At Clark's Bridge Lake Lanier

Earlier today, I had to make a run up to the north end of Lake Lanier. I passed thru downtown Gainesville and drove up Clark's Bridge Road. I took close looks at the lake each time I crossed a section. The water level is noticeably higher! It is amazing how much shoreline can be covered after an addition of three to five feet of water in Lake Lanier. As usual, I was a bit rushed, so I had only a small amount of time to stop and take these photos at the Rowing Venue at Clark's Bridge, where the 1996 Olympic Rowing Venue was held. It was nice to see the higher water mark, even though the water is pretty churned up and muddy. More rain expected Saturday afternoon!
