Is It A Buyer's Market On Lake Lanier?

OK, all of you prospective Lake Lanier property buyers, wake up! It's March, the weather is fantastic, the Lake is filling up within a few feet of full pool, mortgage rates are great, and the inventory is huge! But, for the first time in a long time, I am starting to see a dip in lake home sales. Today, I took a first look at February's Lake Lanier home sales report, and my statistics show a sizable decrease in the number of lake home closings this February as compared to February 2006. But why? Is now the time to buy? Last week, I saw upwards of 250 Lake Lanier lake front homes for sale in our local FMLS system. That's a lot of inventory! And with that much inventory, sellers just might have to get more competitive if they need to sell. So, this could be the signal you've been waiting for if you're looking for a lake front getaway. Now is the time to get off the couch and start getting outdoors to look for that perfect lake home. All of the parameters for a great opportunity seem to be in place. Let's kick off Spring and start thinking about living on Lake Lanier!
