Lake Lanier is a windy, chilly place today! The forecast called for a cool 54 high with wind gusts up to 35 miles per hour. After my walk along the lake shore, I would say that the forecast was right on! It was cold and as windy as I have seen it in a long time. The picture below shows the wind screaming in off Johnson Creek!
It was definitely white capping big-time! As I walked around the peninsula, the scene was a bit different on Lathem Bay. The high winds had scrambled the docks and pushed them parallel with the shoreline. I can't say enough about boat dock watch and management programs. I use Marine Specialties for this service and they have been excellent. There are many other providers for dock watch on Lake Lanier. Here is a list of some of the bigger dock companies that can provide the service or make recommendations.
